Pharmacology 2019: The 6th Annual NIPSA National Conference


The NIGERIAN PHARMACOLOGY STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION will have it's 6th annual national conference on July 8-12 2019.
The conference will be hosted by the Department of Pharmacology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Sagamu Campus, Ogun State.

The theme of the conference is;
THE STATE OF PHARMACOLOGY IN NIGERIA; The Need for a Nigerian Pharmacological Society.

We chose this theme because we consider it urgent at this time, as we are concerned about the development of the course in the Nigerian healthcare/pharmaceutical sector and of course, the general development of potential Pharmacologists in the country.

The lineup of events for the conference:
  • July 8th – Arrival of Delegates and Opening Ceremony
  • July 9th – Career Fair(Students will meet renowned Pharmacologists from different sectors and will be enlightened on choosing the right career path upon completion of their undergraduate degree and the right skills to build)
  • July 10th – Symposium & Plenary Discussion (Here, the theme of the conference will be thoroughly discussed)
  • July 11th – Workshop (Attendees of this conference will get the chance to attend either of the two workshops; Basics of Drug Discovery and Development or Good Laboratory Practices)
  • July 12th – NIPSALiga (Hangout, Sports and Games) | General Assembly | Dinner Night

Although this conference is primarily for Pharmacology students in Nigeria, other Life Science students who are interested in the attending the conference can register.
